Spooner, WI (June 9, 2014) – The team at Spooner Physical Therapy and Rehab Specialists (Spooner PTRS) is proud to have served our community for 7 years. To show their appreciation, the staff is excited to host a family-friendly open house on June 26, 2014 from 5-7pm. In addition to collaborating with the Spooner Area Chamber of Commerce for a Business After 5 Event, community members are encouraged to stop by the clinic for a summer barbeque and meet the staff.

The team would like to extend a big thank you to everyone who has shown their support since the clinic’s opening in 2007. To better meet their friends and family’s needs, Spooner PTRS has made numerous expansions since then. This past year alone, the clinic has grown by offering new specializations of Postural Restoration and Wound Care, and welcoming Physical Therapist Erik Larson, DPT, Athletic Trainer Lauren Geier, ATC, and Front Desk Coordinator Rebecca Melton on board. Community members are encouraged to stop by the open house to meet these newer faces, as well as say hello to the clinic’s veteran therapists Anna Lang, PT, DPT, ATC and Mavis Melton, MPT.

Physical therapy can benefit individuals of all ages, from athletes wanting to get back into the game, to injured workers looking to return to full-duty work, to senior citizens seeking to avoid falls. Physical therapy helps increase coordination, mobility, confidence, balance, and muscle strength, while also decreasing swelling, pain, the chance of re-injury, and stress. In addition, physical therapy helps any person remain functionally independent and promotes a healthy lifestyle. The Spooner PTRS team is excited to educate their hometown on these benefits and more during the event.

The open house will be held at Spooner PTRS (314 Service Road, Spooner, WI 54801). Hot off the grill, plenty of burgers and hot dogs will be available, so people are encouraged to bring their appetities. In addition, the clinic and surrounding businesses will offer numerous door prizes and gift baskets. One lucky raffle prize winner will receive a 2-night stay at the Grand Superior Lodge.

Anyone and everyone is welcome to attend. RSVP by June 18th to spooner.reception@therapy1.net or by calling 715-635-2518.
