Erik Larson, DPT Appointed Local Operator & Director at Spooner Physical Therapy and Rehab Specialists; Team Excited to Further Grow Practice

Erik Larson

Spooner, WI (August 19, 2014) – With fall almost upon us, the team at Spooner Physical Therapy and Rehab Specialists (SPTRS) is excited to turn over a new leaf and announce Erik Larson, DPT as the clinic’s new Local Operator and Director. The clinic, which has been proud to serve the Spooner and surrounding communities for over seven years, is excited to further grow and develop under Erik’s leadership.

The SPTRS team is positive that Erik will be an excellent leader and co-worker. Larson, who has been with the clinic as a Physical Therapist since April of this year, has already helped expand the practice by bringing in new specializations of wound care and postural restoration. Prior to SPTRS, he worked in various rehabilitation settings and held several management positions. “I am very excited and humbled. The role of director is not just a title to me, but a responsibility. It’s something I take very seriously to make sure [our team] meets and exceeds the needs of our customers,” said Larson.

SPRS Team

Of course, behind any great leader is a well-rounded team. Each provider brings different education and knowledge, providing patients with a wide range of multidisciplinary services. Physical Therapists Mavis Melton, MPT, Anna Lang, PT, DPT, ATC, and Athletic Trainer Lauren Geier, ATC/L are all dedicated to improving the lives of our community members and as the SPTRS tagline suggests, “keep you in the game of life.” In addition, administrative staff members Rebecca Melton, Heath Andrews, Kyle Pearson, and Brittany Stumph ensure patients are comfortable and have all questions about scheduling and insurance benefits answered. “What’s truly unique about the team is that they are hard-working, they really care deeply for each other, and care deeply for our hometown. There are no egos here. We all work together towards the common goal of getting our patients back to doing the things they love most,” stated Larson. “We want to be here and do anything we can to help all generations relieve pain and make them smile. That’s what we’re here for – to put a smile on somebody’s face,” he continued.
